    https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/41307936/dodgers-shohei-ohtani-hits-48th-hr-no-pressure-chasing-50-50

Ohtani, who has 48 homers and 48 steals with 11 games remaining, said he is "just one little thing away" from feeling good with the mechanics of his swing again. He also denied feeling any pressure to become the first player in baseball history to reach the 50/50 mark before the regular season wraps.

I’m sorry, but we’ve never seen anything like this guy in our lifetime. There’s even a chance he will be able to pitch in the post season. Likely as a reliever, but that’s still amazing.

      He is indeed impressive.

Rob Lowe had a vaguely erotic encounter with Ohtani.

He went 6/6 today with 10 RBI. And a stolen base or two

I assume that bat is headed straight to the HoF?

On one of his home runs, the pitcher threw him a batting practice ball. I mean he barely even wound up. Not sure about the others.

Edit: I see the pitcher at the end that gave up the third HR was a position player. It was a blowout so the opposite team wasn't using a real pitcher anymore.

As you might have expected, I've done some major slow-mo analysis of it and in this case, the guy who ends up with the ball seems to have obtained it fair and square. Belanski (the guy who got it), doesn't seem to have taken it from Matus who was also going for it on the ground. Seems fair.

At the end of the day, the unofficial baseball fan rule is you have to hold the ball up and claim victory before it is yours. Until then, there will be mayhem until there's an owner.

In the case of the Barry Bonds ball referenced, I agree Popov got screwed. He caught the ball (in a freeze frame you can see it) but then gets ambushed by the crowd and loses it to someone else. That sucks.

Ohtani's Dodgers won their first playoff series. That's good for baseball. I'd watch, if it were easy to do so. Which I assume it isn't.
