In Jolly's post, quoting the source:
"I live around 40 miles of Kenosha and watching the news of the day, I would say that our governor (Tony the Tyrant Evers) has finally agreed to have Fed provide support from the national guard."I'm missing something. The Governor can activate the Guard within the state for a needed purpose. Right?
So where does the fed enter into all this? I thought the President could not activate the National Guard into any State without Congressional approval, although I think there has been precedent in the past for not waiting for congress.
Somewhere I'm messed up. Maybe Jolly or some others can clarify, so I don't need to spend time on Google trying to piece together what is internal state responsibility, or when the feds (Trump) can enter in if requested, or when the feds (Trump) can override everything and send in the National Guard from the state or neighboring states.

The Kenosha City Council had requested the Guard. Trump offered the Guard (I assume by Federalizing them and picking up the tab). The governor did not send anywhere near what was requested.

This same person said his sister phoned him and told him about many cars leaving the Racine area, with their license plates covered or painted over, headed down the highway to Kenosha.
Gee, wonder who those guys were?

Waiting for more information on this, but I read one report that Kenosha police released the shoter because they felt it was self-defense, and he was arrested by Illinois police.
No opinion here, just posting what I read - I forgot where.

I heard Tony Evers on PBs today blaming Republicans for not acting and letting it get to this level. Not sure how he gets there when he is the governor. Wisconsin's legislature is GOp majority, but isn't this sort of thing an executive issue? No mention of Trump.

TuCa: "Our cities are burning because the mayors and the governors of those cities have allowed them to burn.

There is unconfirmed stuff floating around that the first guy killed, was in the process of trying to bash the shooter with a skateboard, after the shooter had dodged a Molotov cocktail. The second person that died was trying to take the shooter's rifle away, when the shooter was trying to avoid the crowd and tripped. He shot the guy while lying on the ground.

Now, this is a fact...One of the BLM "medics" was shot. The photo clearly shows him with his medic tag on his clothes, bleeding from one bicep and holding a Glock in the other.

OK. Not confusing at all.
It took 3 months to release the autopsy for George Floyd. Turns out he would have died anyway from an overdose. This particular incident should be cleared up by the media within hours if not just a few days.

The NBA is probably protesting until criminals stop resisting arrest. Just my guess.
