Learning about 9/11 while on the plane

This plane landed in NC (not their destination), if you skip to 1:30 you'll hear the pilot informing the passengers about what has happened so far. Lots of misinformation as well, but you get the idea. I believe the pilot only referred to a national emergency while they were in the air so as not to cause panic, but provided the information once they were on the ground.
Anyway, a remarkable amount of information to process within a minute, if you were a passenger.
