I've mentioned in other threads that I've been going through the full Marvel Comic Universe lately. Currently on the Doctor Strange and Multiverse of Madness. There are a bunch of spin off TV/series that I haven't watched yet. Wandavision gets good reviews, but looks dumb to me. I heard Loki is good. I'm sure Hawkeye is good. So many things to watch...

The movies (8 I think?) are really well made. Watch at night when it's dark, or during the holidays (the movies always reminded me of the movies that were often released in Nov/Dec).

Maybe for impact? It's not that way in The Cursed Child.
You know, Rowling said the biggest mistake she made in the Harry Potter books was who ended up with who. Hermione should have married Harry...It only stands to reason that the most powerful witch of her generation would be drawn to the most famous and powerful wizard of that same generation.
And that pairing would literally be a launching pad for the next generation at Hogwarts and the wizarding world.
Ron could have been paired with several of the female schoolmates and it would have made little difference in the story arc.

Absolutely not. First of all, Hermione wasn’t the strongest witch of the age, she was the brightest. In terms of magical strength, Ginny was the strongest, something dealing with being the 7th child of the 7th child and some such. Second, it worked better with Ron, especially with all of the slight underlying jealousy over Harry, and the fact that Ron was much smarter, resilient, and capable than others gave him credit for. There was a reason why he was selected prefect. Even though Dumbledore didn’t want to put that on Harry, he still selected Ron over any of the others. And just like Harry, Ron performed well enough to get the OWLs necessary pursue being an auror.
JK may have had second thoughts later, but she hotly it right the first time.

I think that the last book should have ended after Voldomort was killed. I think it was a mistake to have this "20 years in the future epilogue" to end the book. Did not like it in the books or movies. I thought that was a mistake.
BTW, very cool trailer. A lot of effort went into making it. I would definitely watch it.

The "Beasts" franchise is an ancillary prequel. It's done pretty well.
Why not a sequel? It's money in the bank.

George, I would honestly suggest listening to them on Audible. These books really were absolutely meant for the format, and Jim Dale was the perfect reader. Forget the fact that they were children’s books and just focus on the art of the story telling.

My wife totally agrees. She listened to them all (on CD) while driving for work in virginia. Said it was really great.

Younger children are so much more more fun to read about than teenagers. At times the later books veered dangerously close to being teen romance books with wizards.
