Yay, vacation covid.

What can’t figure out is how I got it. Janet looks like she’s coming down with it a day later, and my test results would indicate a high viral load. I haven’t been around anyone long enough to pick up that much.
Hope his is light.

I guess they don't care anymore.

NOTE: As of April 13, 2024, the Coronavirus Tracker is no longer being updated due to the unfeasibility of providing statistically valid global totals, as the majority of countries have now stopped reporting.
And it is a bad topic for presidential candidates.

His test line appeared instantly. The control took a while.

Last two times he got it, it was it just a day or two of sniffles and congestion. His major concern is giving it to me.

He shouldn’t have been kissing all of those California Girls…

At least they were girls. Vacation monkey pox would be worse.
WHO recently suggested shutdowns due to Monkey Pox. That is where we are at. The World Health Organization would rather suggest COVID style lockdowns than just say “hey, lay off the gay sex with strangers for a while”…

LOL
Yeah I dodged it for 4.5 years but recently got it. Whole family tested positive although only two folks had noticeable symptoms like a fever.
-
@jon-nyc Hope all is gong well for you and your son!!

He feels fine with Sudafed to manage his only symptom - congestion.
We did the day we had planned yesterday, but with the top down more often and masks on when the top was up. He ate dinner separately from us, lunch we had outside.
Today we’ll do the same day we had planned too. Isolated or outside meals and masks in proximity.

Arrived in San Francisco about an hour ago. He’s still positive, but the test stripe took longer to appear than yesterday. I’m still negative after two days in the car with him, but with either the top down and him masked or top up, windows open, and both of us masked. We might just get through this without me getting it.

Does that have any correlation to either the severity of the infection or transmissibility thereof?
Could just be a sampling random event - "We happened to swab the area with the most virus."

Mrs. Kluurs is immuncompromised from her radiation/chemo - and was around me for 36 hours of symptoms and then 3 weeks we tried to keep apart - but still shared the same home - and she successfully dodged Covid. She's still never had it (please knock on wood for me). Hopefully, you'll get through this w/o sharing.

Had a couple of positives this morning. Definitely gong around.
The guy at Rite Aid told me on Saturday that the government is going to reinstate the free Covid test program.
In the past I always had loads of free ones, not least because I was dating a public school teacher and NYC DoE gave them out like candy.
Now I’m buying them, and it’s like $10 a test. The boy and I are doing them daily.
