I have never owned a car, only trucks. So long as I live in a detached house with a yard, that’s how it will remain.

Lumber and building supplies have already been mentioned. I addition to those items you cannot haul 2 cu yards of topsoil, sand or gravel let alone a pallet of paving stones in a minivan.

    Elbows up!

      Trucks are like guns.

Rather have one and not need it, than need one and not have it.

@Jolly I think to Jon's point though, most folks would be better off just to rent one as needed. If you don't like the Home Depot branded ones, Enterprise (at least around here) has them in plain black.

Actually, after renting one for a bit, I did end up buying a RAM 2500. In my defense, I'm moving pianos, in a 7x14 enclosed trailer 3-5 days a week, so much easier to justify. And while generally fun to drive, a real pain in the ass when it comes to tight parking lots.

FWIW, our old minivan could handle full sheets of plywood better than some trucks, lol

        Speaking of boots...

I'd start with calfskin, although I'm partial to shark or elephant, but those can be hard to get and pricy.

Kangaroo is nice and soft like calfskin, but wears longer. And bullhide (cut from the shoulders) is tough, but not as dressy.

Man needs a pair of boots. They're comfortable. They give you a place to put your hideout gun. And sometimes, you just need the traction...

I own and have owned boots, just not those things you country-and-western folks favour.

I don't own a leather tie or chaps, either, and I have never yelled 'Yee-haw' during intercourse, even when the farmyard animal in question was a particularly comely specimen.

        I was only joking

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.
