It is painful listening to this professional avoider of questions. I guess that's her core competency as the figurehead of an agency that might have some explaining to do.

And it will not be a "tweak or two" to fix this. This is a culture of laziness and apathy. A pathetic bureaucracy was directing boots on the ground secret service duties.

From my understanding, it isn't unusual to "rely" upon local police for perimeter work, BUT it would seem highly appropriate to dedicate at least one Secret Service staff member to be a liaison AND be present to coordinate with the local police.
