      A little disappointed, if true.

What does Vance bring to the ticket?

Nothing AFAICT. Scott or Haley would be a better choice, when talking pure politics (and that's what this is, right?). Haley would bring a sense of moderation.

Niki and Trump don't geehaw, so I knew she was out. That's why my money was on Scott...He doesn't bring his home state, but he brings black votes and his GOP seat would be safe.

I do look for Ramaswamy to have a cabinet post.

Cabinet is a good place for Ramaswamy. He’s a bright guy, even if no one thinks more of him than him. I cannot see Vance as a heartbeat away from the presidency and I don’t think he even assures Ohio. As far as I can tell he’s been a rather undistinguished senator.

He's only been senator for two years. That's no place for a jumping-off spot to the #2 in the country, right?

Vance may be the most loyal and controllable of the potential candidates. His alleged referencing of Trump as the "American Hitler" may haunt him a bit, but a lot of potential candidates expressed similar disparagements before they saw the light.

J.D. Vance is a good-sounding name. It has a nice ring to it. Not as good as Cyrus, admittedly, but still pretty cool sounding.
