How about including apologetics for the Secret Service amongst the foul reactions? Here’s a retired agent on Fox News making two points and not granting, yet, that any important mistakes were made:

The range the sniper teams were surveillng might have been very large. The rooftop the shooter occupied, even though it was the closest rooftop to Trump, was still only a very small piece of the area the snipers were responsible for.
-
The secure perimeter may not have extended to that closest rooftop. Maybe the Secret Service subcontracted that area out to local law enforcement.
So basically there are no justifications for the security lapse that would pass the sniff test of a child.
I don’t think there was any intentional lapse here, I just think we have to recalibrate our esteem for the secret service over this. This was a fucking joke of a catastrophic face plant.

Speaking of foul reactions, NBC is airing a new interview with Biden..on the first night of the GOP convention. I think that's foul. During which he defends his bullsyeye comments. Now, I think he is honest when he says it meant to focus on Trump, but you can't condemn the other side's rhetoric and not take responsibility for your own.

It’s a reasonable question, if somewhat poor taste.

In order to prevent foul reactions being immortalized in broadcasts, MSNBC pulled Morning Joe, Biden’s favorite talk show, today. Also Comedy Central cancelled the Daily Show’s planned coverage of the Republican convention.
So much courage and conviction. Really inspiring.

Like I said, they said no ladder.
The cop had to get one
Now, that could be wrong reporting...But hearings start next week, I believe.

Wish we could tell if it was an earnest expression on Black’s part or not…

That’s a little sad. Jack and Kyle go back a long way and that reads like the end of the friendship. I have to assume cracks had been appearing well before then.

Well, the girl who butchered the national anthem was drunk. This guy may well have been too.
