Today I got to throw 2 guys out of the HOA Facebook Group (at the boards direction) - for 30 days. And warn another.
They deserved it.
I don't deserve the huge hassle.
The sinners are calling me names and telling me how their lawyer is coming to get me.
I hate this.

You can't post this without spilling the deets.
C'mon. We're all friends here, right?

People are no good
That should be carved in granite and placed inside my head.
600 people in the Group
A few different people got dinged by the HOA for not trimming shrubs, or not cleaning the mold on their roof.
So they go crazy and start a Facebook campaign against the HOA. They start making up stories about shady deals and all manner of crooked financial dealings. And the HOA board has mismanaged everything including the pools, tennis courts and so on.
It is all temper tantrum nonsense.
Lawyers have been consulted.
I'm the messenger, not even on the board. I just post messages on Facebook. And as the FB admin I throw them out of the group.

Interesting. We have a neighborhood Facebook page, but it’s not an HOA official page so it’s rare the board will interact on it at all, even when there is drama. As a previous moderator on TNCR, I can’t tell you how thankless of a job it is dealing with sock puppets all day. The $50k salary barely covered my therapy costs.

Nice.
I expect to get involved in some kind of election dispute.
You can put up a political sign 30 days before an election and 24 hours after.
The rule says sign - not flags. So we already have a couple Trump flags. A flag is not a sign.
And, of course, no politics or religion allowed in the Facebook Group.
