Too bad the system is so front loaded. I'm not for going back to smoke-filled rooms, but I do propose a couple of changes:
- Primaries need to be held within 90 days of the party's convention.
- Delegates are only bound for the first round of voting.
- There shall be no Super Delegates.
- If there is no winner on the first round, candidates can be nominated from the floor or the party's Executive Committee. Delegates will then vote on the nominations. If no majority winner, the top three nominees will be voted on again. If no majority winner, the top two will be voted on.
