My Joe Biden moment

So, I've been deaf in one ear for a few days due to allergies. This morning I woke up and the other one was gone, so I'm pretty much completely without hearing until I can use ear drops and a syringe.
I get into the office this morning to discover I'd completely forgotten that I'm interviewing two people for a position here. I've just spent an hour in a room staring blankly at somebody who appears to be speaking, but with only the vaguest idea of what's actually going on.
It's going to be a long and interesting day.

I golfed with a hilarious 78 year old man, and he was dishing out life tips the whole time. The most DGAF guy I’ve ever met.
He tells me after the round “don’t talk to me in the parking lot, my wife is picking me up and she thinks I went deaf 5 years ago.”
