I guess offending the Jews was not a problem back in April.

      That’s not kosher.

Haven’t patronised or had a “might contain chicken” dinner with the Colonel in close to 30 years. This meaningless innovation will do nothing but continue to keep me away from their greasey fast food hole in the wall for another another 30 years. Inshalallah

Fun fact - Sikhs are not allowed to eat ritually slaughtered meat, including kosher and halal.

How strictly do Sikhs observe this?

It gets nuanced. Sikhs are supposed to try and minimize cruelty when they slaughter animals. So ideally they hunt/raise and kill their own meat - or get their meat from very high quality sources. Not practical for 99% of people, so many stick to vegetarianism.

The Venn diagram of Sikhs who really care about the ethics of their diet and would trust a fast-food chain to have high standards is not gonna be big.

So they consider the ritual slaughter to be unnecessarily cruel? I also did not know.

Lab grown meat can solve so many of these ethical dilemmas and relieve so much conscience!

You bleed them out. I guess Sikhs just wack 'em.

Now, here's where it gets interesting... Shoot a deer with a bow. It's not ritualistic, but the deer usually dies from blood in the lungs or sometimes exsanguination.

If the deer dies from blood loss caused by razor sharp broad head blades, is that different than cutting the animal's throat?
