Glad it's been a good trip and you both enjoyed it.
As much as I love my wife, if we were in a car together for a week or more it would be on Cops.

That’s a lot of miles in a short time. Nice trip!
Safe journeys home.

Very nice.
I would enjoy that.
Average about 350 miles a day, right? I imagine the "interstate" days were higher milage.

Yes it was varied per day and plan. Longest day was 7 hours behind the wheel. Easiest was just 2 or 3. All depended on the plan for the day.

Cool vacation. Thanks again for the pictures and descriptions.
(I actually like driving distances. Maybe I was a truck driver in a previous life!)
Have a good trip back to your home.

Glad you completed the trip safely.
34.2 mpg ... was it a hybrid? -

That's seeing a lot of the country.
If you had to move to some place you visited during your trip, where would it be?

@Axtremus nope. Chevy Malibu. Got it basically brand new with 2000 miles on it. Put it only 87 regular the whole trip.

For me the big surprise was Iowa. Really gorgeous. Not drama. Just endless rolling fields.
But I still like the north east. New England.

Clearly a man of rare taste. Rhode Island: Gateway to America.
Incidentally, Mrs. Phibes has a friend she likes to visit in Iowa. She loves going there, both for the environment and the pace of life. Apparently, they're even friendlier than people from Massachusetts if such a thing is possible.

Probably a little more to do in New England than Iowa.
