      Sounds like a class action lawsuit is waiting to happen. LOL

      (Just kidding, because unless there is some specific indication that they are supposed to put 20 pounds of gas into the container, it is buyer beware.

      As a side note, a lot of people in Thailand (and Taiwan) still use propane tanks to run their stoves. And all of those people do tank exchange. But usually, the propane tank company comes to the neighborhood to exchange. You do not have to go there. I will have to check on the weight of the exchange tank.

        Reminds me of this product I recently saw. It's a wireless propane level detector, using sonar or something to figure out how full your tank is. People said once they started using it they quickly saw how the tank refills were usually 10-25% lower than expected.
