I entirely don't mind politicians with checkered histories. Litmus tests of moral character for politicians are tedious and intellectually vacuous exercises for tribalists to be self righteous about their choices. Politicians are hired to do a job, and that job relates minimally to personal virtue. One doesn't trust in the virtue of a politician to keep them from grift, one trusts laws and punishments and self-interest to keep them from it.

The comparison is being made to the Only Fans gig by the Virginia Dem House Candidate from Richmond. I don’t think that really works, though. This lady did it by necessity. The Richmond woman is a fairly well to do Nurse Practitioner whose husband is a lawyer. They are doing it for kicks, not survival.
