No Corollas, No Camrys...

So I bought a Crown...
I never knew these existed until two days ago. 2024 Toyota Crown Limited Hybrid.
I couldn't resist. It is a seriously nice vehicle.
Selling the 2015 Mercedes E350 Wagon to Carvana and putting all the equity down on this beauty.
42MPG and seriously looks and feels like it was built in Germany.
It is the finest example of the automobile that Toyota has ever built. IMO.
And it takes cheap 87 octane gas vs. The 91 octane I had to use for the E350.
It will make the daily commute a pleasure.

Looks very nice. I think they have been around in Japan for a while, but recently began import to the US.
Looks like a great purchase!!

Oh, yeah, fuck Carvana.
CarMax beat every offer by a couple of thousand when I ditched my A6 Audi.
The Crown looks REALLY nice, but also really big. Mrs. George didn't like my A6 because of size - the A4 is better in that regard. Looks like the Crown is about 10 inches longer and about an inch taller and wider than my A4. That's a deal-killer for
herus. -
Oh, the other good thing about CarMax (there's one in Kenosha) is that they put their offer IN WRITING. Show it to a competitor and say, "Beat that."
If they can't, walk away.
I did that with the Audi dealer on my A6 trade in. They offered $4K less than CarMax.

Congratulations, @mark!
A family elder was once assigned a Toyota Crown for his personal use as part of his employment perks. My reaction at the time was, "nice," but didn't feel that the Crown was anything "special." But that was many years ago, so most likely the Crown model has improved a lot over the years (as have most other Toyota models).
