        Considering that India and China are using so much groundwater it's causing the earth to wobble on its axis, perhaps. (India is using a Lake Erie worth of groundwater per year).

          This is another reason I moved to Minnesota. Source/start of lots of water... not only the start of the Mississippi, but also has the largest freshwater lake in the world (by surface area, 3rd by volume), accounting for 10% of the world's surface fresh water supply.
