Grifters gonna grift
-
DEI is a grift even if the accounting is on the up and up. But when it comes to accounting, it turns out that in a grifter department at a large company, where the department has no measurable output or value whatsoever, it becomes easy to do some creative accounting! 5 million dollars worth in this young lady’s case. She would do things like throw Juneteenth celebrations and overpay vendors who would kick it back to her in cash.

Even the opening... "I've always lived a passion-driven life... that is what lit that fire in me.... I know what it's like to be left out and not have a voice... and you know what my life mission now on is to make people feel like they have a voice..."
Woof. Everyone thinks they are the character of some rags to riches movie comeback narrative. What ever happened to just being a good honest person, helping others, working hard, and taking care of family? I don't think I would be able to stand it 2 hours in a college admissions review board these days.

Playing her role in the grift. These sorts of performances about a passion for inclusion blah blah, everybody understands they're fishy nonsense, I mean everybody with a > room temperature IQ, but everybody also knows that you can't be outwardly suspicious without sounding racist. A fear of sounding racist is what allows for circa 100% of the stupidity of DEI and other offshoots of the race narratives.

She's getting five years in prison, though probably will serve a fraction of that.
Link to videoNate the Lawyer, this youtuber, is a fairly clear-thinking guy on most issues. His last point about how they must have hired her only because she is a black female, rather than for her ability, seems ridiculous to me. I am sure they thought she had ability during the interview process. I mean, to the extent there is such a thing as "ability" when it comes to being a diversity officer.
