I might become interested in Apple when the day comes along that I have the right to repair the faulty digital pin on my 164GB iPod.

Until such time that Apple grants its customers the privilege to repair their products, I am not interested.

And yes, the ad sucks..

When you consider the current predilection among the younger folk (God I sound old) for going back to vinyl, traditional cameras etc. it seems particularly dumb.

I think what happened is simply that a soulless ad team recognized that hydraulic press crushing videos were popular on youtube, and made the leap to this ad being a good idea.
