Forum slow - resolved (hopefully)

The good news is that the forum is online again with what seems to be normal speed.
The bad news is that I had to restore the forum from a 14h old backup. This means that posts of the last 14 hours are gone.
The other bad news, which mainly concerns the administrative side of things, is that I don't understand why the backup fixes the problem. @mark, @Axtremus : I believe the issue was caused by the most recent Cloudron update, since the time of the update coincides with the same when the CPU load problem started. It doesn't make a lot of sense why rolling back the forum software (as opposed to the full Cloudron software) solves the issue, but apparently it does. It's possible, though, that Nodebb will pull some updates in response to the Cloudron update that will cause the problem to reappear.

Any epiphanies from the last 14 hours that would have changed the course of history?

I could temporarily setup a second instance of the forum which contains the posts that are now missing (I made a backup). That would probably bring back the performance issues but it would allow people to restore old posts they are missing, if something important has been lost.

I made a breakthrough with jon. He expressed his remorse for being so judgmental and uncharitable towards Trump supporters. He vowed to be better, going forward. I fear those posts, and indeed that breakthrough and its long term effects on the trajectory of his psyche, are lost.

This gives a chance to rethink what happened 75 years ago yesterday.

Do we need to upgrade something? If so, what's the expense, and I'm MORE than willing to cover it!

I knew I shouldn’t have only posted my breakthrough COVID vaccine here! It was perfect. It involved two key ingredients, one of which was (cheap) scotch, and the other was....oh I forget. Oh well.

Embedded tweets not working....

Klaus needs to come be a professor in the U.S., so he can learn to handle these types of things better.
Hey Klaus, as a professor or professional of any sort in the U.S., you NEVER admit you don't know something. You always divert, obfuscate, or flat-ass make up something so that it is never your fault, and is never something you don't understand. At the very least you should state, "I'd explain it to you all, but it would be way over your head." Or, you could state how you are working with administration to overcome these obstacles for the benefit of everyone, and working as hard as possible, and even on a Sunday!
Verstehen sie das? Wunderbar. Fabelhaft. Ausgetzeichnet!
From me? Thanks for fixing it. I noticed the site was very slow, but thought it was my computer/browser, or just time to reboot.

Testing tweet embedding ...
EDIT: attempts to fix failed; tried loading old Twitter plugin - didn't work; deactivated the old plugin,p and put the old Embed twitter config back but changed the "replace" code to one line - didn't work; now reverted to the old Embed twitter config as Klaus had them (still not working).

Sorry about the frigging Tweet support. Looks like a never-ending story. Tried a few things but also didn't succeed. I'm traveling right now; I'll look into this again when I'm back (in two days).

Thank y'all. I think we can live without Twitter embed a few days.

Could we get the banner put back at the top of the page?
Maybe it's called a ribbon.
I find it was more efficient in navigating than the big banner/ribbon on the bottom of the page.
Not a huge deal, I just liked it. -

You may experience brief service interruptions in the next hours.
