He faked another assassination attempt? He's turning "near-death" into a multi-chapter grift. First one was theater, this one's straight fanfic. Bullets are CGI, wounds are makeup, and the only thing getting assassinated is whatever's left of his dignity. He can't even stage a decent hoax anymore.

Current reporting is that the assassin wannabe intended to target Trump and his officials, and that he had an anti-Trump ideology. I don't know. I'll await further information before passing judgment. Seems just as likely that Erika Kirk was behind it, or the Trump administration itself is perpetrating yet another false flag. I'm in deep discussions with my friends on Bluesky about this - I will keep you all posted as the investigation yields more profound and shocking insights into this murky and incomprehensible situation.

Why would anyone think he’s using her as a shield? To me it looks like the threat was behind them, they are both getting ushered out by someone else, and he’s making sure she doesn’t get left behind.
