Circus observations
-
Went to the circus with the family.
-
There was a man with his son in front of us. During the performances, he was on his phone watching facebook videos and his son couldn't see because of the person in front of them, and the dad could've easily put him on his lap or helped out. I felt so bad for the kid...to have a parent that out of touch with priorities in so many ways.

The seats inside the circus were mostly folding chairs and bleachers. The folding chairs were zip-tied together and it was funny/sad to see how many people had to use two seats because they were so fat. Reminded me of the double-wide chairs in the waiting rooms. One lady sat down and naturally attempted to move the seats so she could fit. She couldn't.

On the way home, there was a big crash in the intersection in front of us. 3 cars, all airbags deployed, lightpole destroyed. I got out and opened the door for one of the pick-up trucks to ask if there was anyone else inside. Luckily it seems folks were just in shock or dazed from the collision and airbags, but no major injuries or blood. Pretty sure I'll get a hero's award for my actions.

Yes, no animals though. We've been to a few with the kids since we moved here. Saw a small circus that had tigers, etc. Saw a larger circus that, I guess, was the last time they were using elephants, so my kids got to ride an elephant (and a camel?) as well as watch dancing horses. The last few circuses though are just acts, as talented as they might be...
