Spy mission

My oldest has been wanting to walk to school by himself. He's in grade 1.
I've been happy to let him go since the start of the school year - my wife's response has consistently been "let's wait a bit".
We live in a safe neighborhood and it's an easy half-mile walk. One busy 4-way stop, but clear crosswalks.
She let him go today - but sent me to tail him. Adorable.

I commend you for letting him walk alone at such a young age.
Down here, I see this somewhat odd situation where in certain states there are laws that says you cannot leave kids under certain age alone at home, but no age limit on when you can let the kid walk a lone to/from school. :man-shrugging:
