Never approach a chopper from the front

I don’t understand. The blades were nowhere near that height. From the looks of it anyway.
Yes, I thought the same thing. And why would the front be different from the side?

The blades were tilted forward. I have no idea why, perhaps it was set that way to "move forward" but the pilot didn't raise them while on the ground waiting? Or perhaps that's the default position when on the ground.
A quick google tells you almost always to approach from the front and never near the tail rotor. Either way... I've been near a helicopter only once while it was about to take off and the urge to crouch low is beyond strong. Those blades are so strong and scary, why anyone wouldn't crouch is....... wait, he was a tequila businessman. That might explain it.
The video should've had the punny title: How Tequila Businessman Using a Helicopter.

Tilting the blade forward is how you get your forward thrust.
I think the default position is leaning slightly forward so the fuselage and seats are level. Otherwise you would always be leaning forward in the seat - just a guess.
Don't ever go near the blade, even when it isn't moving. Never trust a propeller either.
