    Tonight at no-o'clock-the the morning.

But, it's only 7:30 in Chicago, and my eyes are rolling back in my head - after a NINE HOUR sleep last nigh. I wanna go to bed!

What the actual hell is wrong with me?

Do you really want us to answer that?

Absolutely nothing. Go to bed and sweet dreams.

Sometimes you just need rest. Your body knows better than you.

With 3 kids I’ve been doing a bad job snacking/drinking at night when everyone’s asleep. It’s my only solo free time and feels great to unwind and veg out.

That was last year. Lately I’ve been realizing how GREAT it feels to get good sleep by going to bed a little earlier, not shoving my face/stomach with snacks/booze. Sleep is often way underprioritized in my case but I’m slowly learning.

That being said, this past week was a doozy. The 1 year old was up for the day Monday night starting at 230am and then did that again Thursday by getting up at 330am. So I’ve been extra tired lately.

The weird thing is I want to go the opposite direction. I feel a MST3K marathon coming on…

We are in bed now. Generally go at 9:30-10, but we’ve gone at 8 before.

Go with it, George. Your body knows what it needs.

                Fuckitall...

Went to bed at 8 (all times are standard time).

Woke up at 10:45 to fine Mrs. George gone - she went to sleep in the guest room. After about 30 minutes of tossing and turning, Boris decides that he want to be next to me (he rarely sleeps with us).

Then he decides that my right forearm (I'm a side-sleeper) needs to hav biscuits made. I guess he kept that up for about an hour. I'm still awake, and the next time I look at the clock, it's 2AM.

Mrs. George returns to bed, and Boris leaves, and goes down to the foot of the bed. I'm still awake, and it's now 3 AM. Boris decides that he needs some cuddle time, so he comes back up to the head of the bed, and lies down on this right side to spoon with me. Purring like crazy, he spends the next 30 minutes rubbing his face on mine.

Finally, fuckitall, I leave and go to the guest room at about 4 AM where I get a bit of sleep, in 30-minute bursts. At least there was no cat.

It's going to be a caffeine-ey day, even not considering we switched to DST.

Just another day at the ranch. Got up at 0430 CDT and was at work by 0600. Surgeon must have a truck note due, because he's just finished up a gallbladder...

If I had been the gaspasser on call on Saturday, I would have been beyond pissed that this couldn't wait until the next guy came on call.

I mean, presumably, it waited all night, right?

                        WHat's another hour or two?

Small town medicine. I'm sure the surgeon has something he wants to do today. I hear the white perch are biting...

Wow George sorry to hear! Best laid plans… you sure Boris isn’t a needy toddler? Sounds worse than a baby!

Here’s my sleep from the last week. Orange periods are up with kids.

Had a pretty decent night. The snoring is in fact not mine. Not sure how it determines whether I met the goal or not. I did have a dream where I got caught making out with another hot redhead.
