@Mik Mims had been linked to the Steelers A lot through the process. He’s a RT, played on the Bulldogs (with our Tackle Broderick Jones and TE Darnell Washington) so I read up on him. He will either be an all pro or out of the league in 3 years. He hastremendous physical tools and is a big, big, man. Jonathan Ogden is the comp… The issue is that he only has 8 total starts, 103 pass sets in his career. He missed half of last year with ankle injuries. He had surgery in the middle of the season, came back and injured the ankle again. Then he pulled his hamstring at the combine.

If the kid stays on the field, he will be a huge addition. If he doesn’t? Ouch.

I was personally rooting for a trade back, or taking one of the CBs. It’s not a huge need, but it is a need, and if we paired one of those guys up with Joey Porter Jr, our backfield would be scary…

Exactly. His experience and durability are questionable.

Everybody got a tackle! Must say that I was very surprised by Cincinnati grabbing Mims with all of the defensive players still on the board.

Seriously, the Saints got the guy that most mocks had going to them. He's versatile, which the Saints love. I don't think they've given up on Penning, but Ram's career may be over due the bad knee. So, this kid may be starting at RT in the fall.

JJ to Minnesota! Plus an Alabama lineman. I'll take it.

Pearsall is a WR I was watching for late 2nd early 3rd. That SF took him before McKonkey, Legette, Mitchell, and Polk is very odd.

Jenkins was a great pick for the Bengals. If he was available at 51, I think I would have liked for Pittsburgh to have taken him.

Burton WR Bama. Must be for leverage with Highins and Boyd.

Saints are drinking the Kool-aid, taking a DB in the second round.

They love DB's in the 2nd.

Prediction...The Saints will move up again today, for a DT or an OG. Most likely a DT.

And ...They may draft a punter, late

Pittsburgh got their C. The kid was a wrestling champ in HS, with a record of 152-2. The two losses were as a Freshman, and both were technical disqualifications. As a 14 year old freshman, he was wrestling and beating 18 year olds that were mostly grown men…

Last year they were down late in an important game. They had no timeouts left, and the only way to stop the clock was out of bounds or a 1st down. The WR was being tackled short of the sticks on a 3rd down play. Zach picked the guy up and carried him 4 yards past the first down marker for the first. He broke his leg while being tackled. Since they didn’t have any timeouts, that would have been a 10-second runoff that they couldn’t afford. So the kid crawls then hops on one leg to get off the field. WVU got the winning score with 9 seconds left.

The guy also has over 2600 snaps at the position and has the intelligence and experience to be a day one starter.

                                      Bengals had a draft… 10 Picks? Wow…

Mims will be a boom or bust, but Jenkins, Burton, and McKinley were all great picks. So was Josh Newton. Nice value, there. But why so many TEs?
