Tucker had some interesting comments on Stewart that echo my feelings about his type (also the types of the other two comedians mentioned). That they pose as people willing to stand for their principle no matter the consequences, while coincidentally always saying exactly what their audience most encourages and supports. Similar to any given TDS sufferer posting proudly on social media that they're willing to lose friends for their principles. These people inevitably lose zero meaningful relationships over their alleged principles, and in fact only attempt to gain social standing by telling everybody about how they're willing to lose friends.

I used to work in Chester, UK with a woman who ended up marrying the Duke of Westminster's chauffeur back in the 90's. The stories about Andrew even back then were less than complimentary.

To be clear, it's your contention that an "American values" pundit can't compare America disfavorably with other countries in certain specific aspects, without running afoul of their stated principles?

He went to a Moscow supermarket and commented on the fact that Russian groceries were so much cheaper than in America.
“Coming to a Russian grocery store – the heart of evil – and seeing what things cost and how people live. It will radicalise you against our leaders. That’s how I feel anyway – radicalised,”
He was so angry at America because a typical weekly shop for Russian groceries cost $104 a week, and he was either too ill-informed to know, or deliberately neglected to point out, that Russians typically earn around $200 a week, and that typically more than 60% of Russians spend more than half their salary on food. I'm kinda' thinking he knew full well what Russians earn. The alternative explanation is that he's a really, really bad journalist and actually quite a stupid individual.
