    And carry a gun.

      Jesus.

And this is why I cancelled my CSO subscription.

The weird thing is this is the convention center, a couple of blocks away from the Inner Harbor, which is where the National Aquarium and upscale restaurants and shopping are located. You would think the police presence would be strong here. This is the last area in the city where money is spent…

The guy said the police told him to just stay in the hotel after sunset, and in some of the hotels just stay in your room sand order room service….

          I mean 9 year olds…

In my life I have only felt unsafe in two areas - inner city Baltimore, and Liberty City in Miami.

In all fairness, I wasn’t really staying at the Inner Harbor, I was at a hotel about two blocks away. It was the old B&O building - https://www.monaco-baltimore.com/

I’ve had to drive up to Loyola a couple of times, and am around Towson and the burbs once a month, but downtown? No.

I was going to have Karla and Finley drive up to go to the aquarium, but realized it would be getting dark when we left…

Wow, ran into a Starbucks to get a coffee for the road. Asked to use the restroom… Had to enter a code to get access. No sink in the bathroom, but they had a 💉 disposal…47A3B8A7-78E8-4BF9-B4D1-A62A808E4CD0.jpeg

They have those all over in Oz. The Royal Botanical Gardens are full of 'em, as are uni bathrooms. They aren't the tabbo they are here.

I am ambivalent about the presence of a needle disposal when there is a sink to wash my hands. I am less ambivalent when there is a needle disposal and no sink and soap.

Was it the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor?
A few months ago, I walked alone from that Hilton to the harbor and the restaurant areas and back around and after dinner time. I survived.

Definitely saw quite a few boarded up, out-of-business store fronts, though.

Lufin, trust me - it’s better than the restroom in downtown Indy near the Embassy Suites where they v ch it thecstalls halfway down to discourage the junkies but failed. There were discarded syringes and spoons, and red on the walls where they squirted blood.
