Mr. Tyson has always been wrong about almost everything.
That's Professor DeGrasse Tyson to you, pleb.
He's not a bad physicist/educator.
Though I have no knowledge of how good a physicist he is. At least his academic credentials are better than Mr. Nye (the "Science" Guy).
SCIENCE!

I never saw the original Cosmos series by Sagan, but I don't think elite intellectuals like yourselves was the target for the Cosmos reboot. Yes I watched it, and yes I enjoyed it. Yes I have a simple brain. But sometimes it's nice to get a glossy overview of how things work out there in the........cosmos.

Link to videoNDT is definitely smarter and better than Bill Nye (and actually less captured by progressive culture). But I think they play different roles. Nye was always a marginal figure and part clown, as far as I ever absorbed from him.

Of all the pointless celebrities out there making a small or large fortune, people who actually try and educate us about science are quite close to the end of my admittedly rather long list of people to dislike.
-
Considering the fact that neither Tyson or Nye are educating anyone about science and are instead trying to lend a false veneer of science to socio-political views kinda makes your point irrelevant.

Isn't the majority of Tyson's output the popular science stuff rather than the social stuff? I have to admit I've never watched Bill Nye. The fact that he said things you don't like about race doesn't make his science irrelevant. It's not like we're inundated with science education, groups of drunken eejits blowing shit up on YouTube notwithstanding.
Like I said, there's plenty of people in front of him to dislike if I feel the need.

I know little about Nye other than that he's part clown. Tyson writes lots of popular science books and columns, and occasionally rankles when he speaks to the intersection of culture and science. Most recently in his side-taking against those who think there are biological sexes, or that genetic males shouldn't be competing with genetic females. He talks about that stuff in podcasts, but I doubt writes about them. It is clear to most people who follow along with his discussions, that he is a reliable parrot of the progressive popular culture narratives, and often those narratives are actually at odds with a principled science based perspective. He chooses popular culture over science and reason, when forced to choose. You can roll your eyes at those who take exception to that as you please.

Come here to check on things and see nothing is changed except my ever increasing burning desire to meet Horace in person to knock the dog shit out that fills his cranium. What a piece of crap you are Horace. Can’t wait till y’all have to crawl back under your fucking rocks after Trump goes to prison forever. I just don’t understand how the few decent people that still reside here put up with this daily bullshit. Twisted brains still rule the roost here.

I would pay almost good money to see you try to beat the dog shit out of L'il Horace.

You know where to find me. I live in CA, up towards Berkeley. I took a short drive up to Napa and will be staying there for a couple days. Come on up and let’s settle this. I’ll be the tall white guy.

Speaking of racism, The Resident plays the race card again. Says MAGA GOP worse than Strom Thurmond.
