Guy Suing Powerball…
-
So a guy in DC checks the Powerball numbers online. Sees his numbers listed along with a jackpot of $340 Million… Screenshots the image and goes to turn in the ticket a couple of days later…
Turns out that the website was in the middle of an update when he went to it. They put up some random numbers while checking the site, not realizing the numbers were posting live online.
So the guy has a ticket and a screenshot of the Powerball site stating they are the winning numbers…

This whole story sounds a bit dodgy.
“I got a little excited, but I didn’t shout, I didn’t scream,” Cheeks said. “I just politely called a friend. I took a picture as he recommended, and that was it. I went to sleep.”
"Cheeks attributes his somewhat low-key response to seeing his numbers on the website to being deeply immersed in his work at the time".
