        No, I dont think so. Deflation is mostly a bad thing. People hold off buying things, expecting the price to continue to drop. The effects productions, factories, stores, etc.

        It is a bad cycle downward.

          I remember in the late 70s and early 80s when it was said the average new home would cost $80,000. I thought they were insane.

            I wouldn't mind a little deflation. It would be nice to buy a fast food meal that costs less than 10 bucks. Wages have not kept up with price increases, tuition increases, mortgage/rent increases... I'm half-joking, but really this screws over those with lower incomes more than anyone. And when rates go down and house prices jump even more... ouch. But I could be wrong.

            Side note: The actor who plays Captain Obvious in those Captain Morgan commercials? I met him once at a Nationals baseball game.
