Telephone Number Spoofed by Robocaller
-
So I got a telephone call at work last week with an older guy yelling at me about why we are trying to scam him about shutting down his electrical service. I explained that we are a piano store in business for over 100 years, and we have no inclination or ability to shut off his service. After we confirmed the telephone number on his caller ID and it matched ours, I explained that it sounds like our number was spoofed by a robocalling spammer. The guy then starts yelling at me about why we let that happen and asking how we are going to fix it. I explained that it's a random thing and there really isn't anything that we can do to stop it. He gets angry and states he's reporting our number as spam.
So this afternoon I call Karla from the store phone, and she reports that her Samsung phone is telling her that the number is suspected Spam... Sigh... Any idea how to go about correcting this?
