    https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/ebay-to-pay-3-million-penalty-over-harassment-of-couple-behind-newsletter/ar-AA1mP53M?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=3ce3c221bf6f402085f41ba4e13966cb&ei=11

This middle aged couple produced a newsletter that was critical of ebay, and the CEO prodded the security chief, a former CIA officer, to "take them down". He did so by mailing them cocroaches and bloody pig parts, among other high IQ maneuvers.

I am sure his time at the CIA was more pure, because in that context, he would have been concerned only with upholding the constitution.

That should be worth more than 3.

@Mik I agree, but I believe the article says that was the statutory maximum.

Now, perhaps they can go after the individuals...

The $3 million fine represents the maximum penalty prosecutors said they could seek after charging eBay with six counts of stalking, obstruction of justice and witness tampering for what they called its "absolutely horrific" criminal conduct.

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

We just have no ethical standards at all anymore, do we.

@Mik said in Ebay to pay $3 million to couple it harassed:

That should be worth more than 3.

It says the dude doing the main harassing got 57months in jail.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The victims caught him in the act of attempting to bug their car. I imagine they would never have been caught otherwise. To what extent does this sort of tomfoolery happen without consequence, I wonder?

                That’s a good start.

I can't remember if that was a podcast or a CBS Sunday Morning segment, or 60 Minutes... but I remember this story. Good for the couple.

David Wenig seemed to pretty much get away with it, despite being the one who asked who would rid him of this turbulent priest

                    I was only joking
