Password Managers?
-
I used to use 1Password, but I stopped when Apple's built-in password manager became available. It's served me well.
1Password is now subscription (like much software), and still gets good reviews.
LastPass has had at least one security breach.
Does anyone use a password manager?

Nope, although I believe @Horace offered his services here at one point? I do use Secrets Manager (an AWS service) but only for my IT/dev projects.

It wasn't a bad idea to have a thread where we could all store our passwords. But I'm humble enough to admit, that maybe it was a good idea that was simply ahead of its time. I fully expect the idea to catch on in the future - and when it does, I won't seek any credit for it. To see all the satisfied users, will be all the reward I need.

I use the antiquated Freeware Keepass. It's very basic, but it does the job for me at least.

I use Securesafe.com

Can someone give me a basic overview of how they work. Don't they generate a very complicated password that you don't have to remember, but is stored somewhere?
