The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
Wired: "Watch and learn what formed Indiana Jones into the adventurous man that he is, by way of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles.
Originally a short-lived TV series in the early 1990’s (before many of our kids were born), The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles –repackaged as The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones in 1999 – is now available for streaming via NetFlix (along with the mail service for the DVDs).This is a great series that is generally safe viewing for younger children. It serves up an interesting back-story to some of the quirks and habits of Indiana Jones."
I loved this series. Excellent, IMO. Not sure, but I think it would be better to watch the 'old' Indy movies first, and then this.
U U U U U U UThe Last Starfighter
U U U U U U UWill send along others as and if I think of them.
Totally with the boy on Hidden Crouching Whatever. Wierd and boring.

The Great Escape (1963 version)
The Third ManAfter watching The Great Escape, the next week you should watch Chicken Run. To fully appreciate all the humor in Chicken Run, you need the background from The Great Escape.

The Magnificent Seven, provisionally. The 1960 one, with Yul Brynner. Provisionally because I don't remember if there was any alarming violence. The bad guys get some in the end, I think mostly just BOOM, fall down, but I don't remember beyond that.
Maybe somebody here remembers.
