NHL Players Stand in Solidarity During Anthem All Across the League in Stunning Display of Patriotism
Gee, I never thought NHL Hockey would renew my soul my fill my heart with patriotism during such a dark time, but here we are…
In a stunning show of solidarity and patriotism, the NHL, who KNOW THEIR FANS and respect them greatly, stood together, some arm-in-arm, for the National Anthem.
And it wasn’t just one team, it was across the league.
The NHL just sent a huge message to the rest of the sports world and America in general – and they’re saying “we will not participate in your pandering SJW circus.”

Only one player in the NBA stood for the national anthem.
That is a Black privilege I am jealous of - the freedom to express one's individual thoughts on all things political.

Good point, Horace. But don't get too jealous quite yet. We haven't seen what they are going to do to him.

We'll see, but more probably, we won't see, in that we won't hear any more about his lonely protest. I guess CNN didn't have to run this story to begin with, so I can be glad they did.

True story. A black new anchor here one time would only call it “onyx ice” because she didn’t like the negative connotation of black ice.

White folk are not free in our culture to engage in such basic expressions of free speech. And the white folk to whom it would not occur to want to express themselves in that way, and who indeed dislike those who would want to express themselves in that way, reveal their essential diminutive characters as they try to contain their glee at this power they have over the political opposition.

Only 25% of the NHL players are from the US. Most of the league is European and Canadian.
