Where is the article that discusses why Bass is a real contender?
Maybe she is but maybe it’s just creating drama? Most likely she is plan C should the vetting issues of Kamala or Susan become too tough to overcome.

The campaign announced they were holding off until the week of the 11th to make their choice.
Could be they just view that as a better time in the cycle. Or they want a little more betting time, the latter would argue for a relative unknown like Bass.

Has he not committed to a black woman? Or -- same thing -- it is widely believed he has committed to a black woman.
I don't see him picking Warren. If you want to win, why pick as your running mate someone who was explicitly rejected as a presidential candidate?

It won't be Warren, Obama or Harris. They would both overshadow him and hes smart enough not to do that. Rice would be suicidal and drive conservative voters to the polls. Bass is the frontrunner as far as I can see.
As far as who wins the election? Tossup. The next three months are going to be long and bloody.

Based on a very quick and dirty pass over Karen Bass, I kind of like what I see. She has explained her Cuba thing and her Scientology thing, at least to my satisfaction, with grace and common sense. She seems very sensible and articulate.
Plus, I like her looks. She looks just very quietly stylish and well put together. She has a good smile. I like what used to be called the cut of her jib.
Never liked Harris; never really looked into her, but she looks harsh and impatient in every pic I've seen.

Yeah, or papering over. I thought about that, too.
Still, if Biden wins, he is going to need our help; he'll be starting out with that dementia thing hanging over his head and all the other shit going on, and the damage left behind by Trump. If his pick for Veep is even halfway reasonable, we need to give the slate a shot.
