Amazon does it for some items.
Or they used to. With the collection centers they brought the cost of return way down.

All I can read is
At Christmas time, it's not uncommon that you're going to want to return some of the gifts that you get.
That ugly sweater you know you're never going to wear that your uncle bought you, you want to return it, right? Well, that may not be the best option under these new plans that Walmart and Target both want to implement.
Then it’s all ads and sponsored content. Can anybody summarize?

It's the only reason I go in to a UPS Store... amazon returns. And I appreciate it.
Target has some other return policies parents may want to know about. Such as the children's clothing brand "Cat & Jack" I believe you can return any item of clothing for up to a year, no matter the condition (literally, it can be full of mud and holes) and they'll give you a refund.
