To be fair, SI died with journalism back about 10-15 years ago. It's a brand on life support trying desperate things to stay relevant.

But this is why Cave is right about the impact of AI. It will erode our very society because we're extremely good at creating new technology, but we do absolutely nothing to update our ethics to fairly accommodate that technology.

        Please love yourself.

Man - I'm ready to go full luddite and just read long-form articles and books from now on.

            No kidding.

The rule I'm trying to follow is to seek out media myself, and to always be wary of media attempting to seek me out.

I believe there are AI/virtual models (honestly, can't even tell... and believe me, I looked for a long time) such as this girl. It's sad how many people comment thinking she's real.

I love that. We're so easily manipulated by lottery like systems, where if you search or scroll you may be rewarded with something interesting.

I try to follow the same rule with my phone now - don't unlock it unless I have a specific purpose, don't open it to fill space or kill time.

"Read and learn everything you can" worked fine the content-scarce world we grew up in. Doesn't work anymore.

Speaking of AI, my buddy was part of this 20% workforce layoff in favor of AI:
