I am so grateful to see a recipe that didn’t read like:
Texas Chili… Texas starts with T and I loooooove Iced Tea! I first discovered Iced Tea when I was in college at the University of Georgia. Well, that’s not true, I had iced tea as a child but it was the instant powder type of tea. I never had real Iced Tea until my freshman year.

Turned out good. Nice slow burn to it, but maybe a little less of the chili packet next time and a few more fresh chilies.

I’ll give a try. No one else in the house will probably like it, though I will. I love spicy hot dishes.

Just one caveat should you find yourself south of your border. If anyone tells you that you’d love Nashville Hot Chicken, that person is not your friend. That stuff is like eating burning brimstone.

I have friends here who have slipped me ghost pepper and Carolina reaper sauces. Both are just plain heat without taste. If there’s no taste to go with heat I don’t like it. Otherwise, I’m game to try, that’s what bread or unsalted crackers are for.
