Candace Owens questions the moon landing(s)

Never heard of her before, and had to look her up. With ideas like that, I am not sure how she became "famous".
-
For somebody who thinks she's as smart as she clearly does, she sure says some dumb shit.
-
-
I get her point that she was making a twit (sorry, tweet) reply about a conspiracy theory. That being said, I was surprised that she didn't know we landed on the moon more than once, and more than one or two people walked on the moon. At first I'd think... isn't that common knowledge? But then I bet if I asked my wife, who's pretty darn smart, she'd say "I don't know". Some folks don't really care about history/science the way others do.
-
Apparently, the proof that we really went to the moon would be if Mr. Maher could name Apollo astronauts who went to the moon after Neil & Buzz.
He couldn't, but she seemed to buy his story anyway.
I think everyone in the world should know that we sent several men to the moon on multiple trips. And most should be able to name a few.
-
I can't name anyone after Neil and Buzz, except maybe Gene Cernan (last man to walk on moon?)... but know (without looking it up in the last year, including now) that we put people on the moon from July 20 (?), 1969 through like 1974 or so, including missions Apollo 11 through... 17?
-
Another challenge would be to name the 12 poor saps that flew to the moon but never got to land…
-
Was she talking about "The Jews" there?
I'm absolutely not a fan of the silly woman, but could that quote have been taken out of context?

OK, she's horrible.
The use of unnecessarily superfluous verbiage she refers to is something I've noticed that some people do when they have something to prove as they mistakenly think it makes them appear more educated. Owens always acts as though she's a law graduate from an Ivy League college rather than a URI journalism drop-out and administrative assistant.
And yes, I know I sound like a horrendous snob

Never use a big word when a diminutive one will do.

I acquiesce with the general consensus of opinion in this regard.
(I actually have an engineer who writes like this. His emails always make me cringe, particularly when he's writing to non-native English speakers)

Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boring are banging their heads on a desk somewhere.

So is she mentally ill or just stupid?

Not mutually exclusive. Just look at....

I see that I commented earlier that I had never heard of her. Re-opening this thread, I thought the same thing, so I had obviously forgotten about her again. LOL. But my earlier comments still stand.
