He is right that to beat Trump you have to run against him. It's the only way.

Yeah, that’s where DeSantis failed drastically. If I could have been on his team, I would have advised running constant ads with Trump congratulating Fauci, announcing lockdowns, announcing more checks…

I also would have had ads with him joking and flirting with the Trans Miss America contestant back in the day…

You have to remind that base about how he betrayed them.

If you think you best bet is VP with a chance to run in 2028, maybe you don't do that.

        I was only joking

That’s sort of Christie’s point. Are you running against Trump or auditioning for him?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

DeSantis, Haley, and Christie aren’t running for VP. They should have come out swinging harder.

              Wrong.

Trump is the Ultimate Tar Baby. Christy's been playing in Trump's briar patch. He's cracked 5% in one poll.

The only way Trump doesn't get the nomination is if he quits or is legally obstructed, it seems. I know Jolly has been saying this for a while too... I think even the best anti-Trump strategy won't defeat the plurality approach Trump used in 2016 and will use again to get enough primary wins.
