Oh this is awesome. Something neighbors could definitely get into after a long stupid weekend enduring the group garage sale thing. We used to get together on the street for beers and a barbecue afterwards. There was often talk of “Hey Barb, did ya manage to sell your mom’s China this year, ha ha?”, … followed by the “Well, fvck you Shirley. At least I don’t have to haul in and store that 12’ fake palm tree again. That’s like, what .. year 3 now it didn’t sell?”

Reminds me of Christmas 78 or 9. My girlfriend's sister got the first release or Corelle dishes, supposedly unbreakable. Her husband and I, well into our cups, took it as a challenge. We successfully broke a plate eventually. Leesa was not amused.

I can see the betting potential. A great drunken party game. I could get right into it.
Greatly therapeutic too for those of us having done the executor parent house clean-out.

One year we held a little (alcohol fueled) mini golf tournament on the front lawns in our culdesac. We used a bedpan & a urinal. One of our neighbors used grandpa’s old ugly dog paintings (fancy frames) but with holes cut out of the heads.

@Mik I think we bought some Corelle a couple of years back. I saw sets in boxes cheap somewhere. I really didn’t want to roam through IKEA for plain white plates. They do the job.

Yep. 45 years later we still use Corelle. Lightweight and nearly indestructible.
