Honestly though, if there were ever an argument for meritocracy this is it. If you focus on making a living rather than being an authentic whatever....

I would be interested in the absolute numbers of those minorities.

I'm really the last person who will defend the "white privilege" stuff, but these numbers don't say all that much about "privilege" or lack thereof. I think it's more a reflection of immigration policy. If the US primarily accepts highly educated engineers, for instance, then it's not surprising that they make more a year than the average American.

I think it's because the richest and/or most visible wealthy are often white americans, so folks assume it's that way for all white americans, whereas MOST white americans are not rich at all. In fact, white americans are the most in debt.

I still find it strange that there is a category for "white americans" but instead of black americans it's "African". Either we should start parsing out the various country/regions for white americans or we should switch African and Latino to instead look at skin color. It's all so dumb...

BTW if someone asked me who makes $55,000 a year, I'd say, "It's a thai". 😄

That has a lot to do with it in several ways.

Always note the source especially these days. A light google search suggests India in pixels is largely a social media construct. The definition of white america is their own. I suspect their mission is to simply make money by advancing the interests of people that think this platform will help them.

It's based on U.S. Census data. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Most of the Indians (dot, not feather) I know are professional people...Doctors, professors, dentists, engineers, etc.

Indians make up the majority of scientists and engineers I work with. Most software and testing applicants are Indian.

                        Education is extremely important.

So all American immigrants from every other country are average?

We need a graph that shows which races can be understood when they attempt to speak English.

                                Just this minute redd this:

                                America is not a land
of one race or one class of men . . .
                                America is not bound by
                                geographical latitudes . . .
                                America is in the heart.
