              Remember...The actor who appeared in both movies was a major star.

              Hint...The two movies were made just over 20 years apart.

              Next hint...One of the movies featured a score with no European or American music...Except for one song, partially sung by one of the female leads.

                              Gee, took you long enough.😛

                              Seriously, the studio decided to redo Red Dust, except the location was changed to Africa. Gable reprised his role and Ava Gardner took the Harlow role.
