As minor as it sounds - my wife and daughter get confused if the input on the TV changes
You need a "Y" chromosome to understand the intricacies of TV inputs. I have verified that with at least 5 "XX" chromosome bearers.
The syndrome is similar to the "I want it to cool down faster so I'll turn the thermostat down to 60" thinking.
What if you let the "XX" chromosome bearers design the UI/UX of TV connectivity and thermostats to begin with?

Dumb question...Particularly close to urban areas, where multiple OTA channels are easily received, coupled with many of the streaming services relentless march towards more costly subscriptions, will we see a renaissance in OTA tv?
We should, but I doubt we will. Complacency is one factor. Another is financial approach. My approach is that if I am not constantly trying to reduce my monthly expenses they are constantly going up. Many people don't do that unless they feel some sort of pain.

Speaking of all of this, Amazon bought IMDB TV and has rechristened it as FreeVee.
I knew about a relationship, but I didn't know that they actually bought IMDB.
I'm watching "Bosch: Legacy" on FreeVee.
It has ads...

Not all of IMDB, just the IMDB TV part. And yep, it has ads.

Welp, for my Amazon Prime membership, I expected "free" made-for-tv shows. Commercial-free.
Now that they bought IMDB-TV, that's out the window.
You still have ad-free shows, but only on Prime.
FreeVee is a free service, open to anybody.
