Much like Scotch (even cheap Scotch)

You know, even now, the first sip of scotch gives me pause. But the second sip and beyond is always delicious. Almost like my taste buds need a quick kick in the face then they cooperate.

Btw my fav scotch these days is Port Charlotte by Bruichladdich. It’s so good.

Not familiar with that one. However, looking it up says that it's "heavily peated."

          Not my taste these days.

Indeed. It’s smoky. Not in a Lagavulin way, but it’s a smooth smoke that I enjoy. YMMV!

I have a 16 year old Lagavulin in my cabinet right now. It seems the older the vintage of that, the more I like it. It's just not an "everyday" Scotch for me.

My go-to faves are Glenmorangie and Glenfarclas for a reasonably-priced whiskey.

I like bad scotch better than kiwi.

Kiwi is fine. Don't care for scotch.
