@Mik said in Hamas attacks Israel:

Hamas and Israel have agreed to start the peace plan.

Heads will explode if he gets the Nobel.

His will too if it’s shared with el-Sisi and Al Thani.

“In the 25 years that I served in the United States Congress, Republicans never, ever, one time agreed on what a health care proposal should look like. Not once.”

What's all this about Hamas having appointed 5 governors, and something about a policing force?
      Rumour only?

Been glued to tv news for hours. Waiting for trumps speech. Then bibi is joining the big summit in sharm (a-sisi has refused to speak to bibi even on the phone ) and now I hear the prez of Indonesia is going to visit here tomorrow.
End of days feeling here. If any evangelicals out there are thinking of the rapture now would be a good time.

Ditto, and on radio now. Thank God all live hostages out.
          Bibi speaks well.

Fingers crossed for peace to continue.

Bibi not going to sharm and prez of Indonesia not coming. Things change very fast here. Reason given was holiday tomorrow (it’s Sukkot here ) but that would have. made the sharm summit more interesting.

He keeps going off script, you can tell the pre written formality in contrast; but kudos for 79 he's got stamina. Love him embarrassing his team.

Hamas is publicly executing Palestinians today. That doesn’t seem like the behavior of a group about to voluntarily disarm and give up power.

I'm not entirely sure there is an apples to apples comparison between any realistic deal realistically proposed during the Biden administration, which was reacted to in that manner by conservative Jews, and this deal. I wonder what Ben Shapiro or Bari Weiss would say about that claim.

                              Education is extremely important.

Putting aside any details of actual proposals, I think he’s right that leaving Hamas in power would have been seen as a betrayal under Biden but that doesn’t stop them from thinking Trump a genius for this deal.

Perhaps some believe the rest of the deal will be implemented. Perhaps others believe it won’t and Israel will have the green light to return but without the hostages to worry about. But that latter group might be underestimating how much Trump wants a Nobel.

I hate to it's deja vu all over again, but I really kind of feel like I've been here before.

Obviously, it's the greatest event in history and all that, but still.....

Clearly, it's very important on a human scale for those affected. But the idea that we've achieved peace in the ME after thousands of years of conflict is ridiculous.

It's another step in that direction.
