Bad decision. It’s barren desert and I’m pretty sure any offensive capability they have is easily identified and eliminated.

"I have heard people say one should always don intact and clean underwear in case you have to be taken to the ER. I suppose you could take the same precaution in the event that you have to surrender. I usually point out there's no dignified way to have an accident or surrender."

Biden's support of Israel:
President Joe Biden on Tuesday warned that Israel was losing international support because of its “indiscriminate bombing” of Gaza, speaking out in unusually strong language just hours before the United Nations demanded a humanitarian cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war.
“Israel’s security can rest on the United States, but right now it has more than the United States. It has the European Union, it has Europe, it has most of the world supporting them,” Biden said to donors during a fundraiser Tuesday.
“They’re starting to lose that support by indiscriminate bombing that takes place,” he said.
“Israel has a tough decision to make. Bibi has a tough decision to make. There’s no question about the need to take on Hamas. There’s no question about that. None. Zero,” Biden said. Hamas broke the ceasefire on October 7 and on many days before that. It's just that Israel responded after that.
And again, when they murdered 3 civilians in Jerusalem during the "operational pause."

I've given that some thought and figured they wouldn't move on the Qatari-based set until there was nothing left to negotiate for. I would think eliminating them now would be a sign that they don't envision any more hostage releases.
